AlgoLift is the no-code platform that tells traders whether their strategy passes a prop-firm evaluation — before they pay for it. Traders build strategies on a visual canvas, backtest them tick-by-tick on real order-book data, and simulate the full prop lifecycle across dozens of real firm rulesets. We're a small, senior, remote-first team building serious quantitative tooling for a market that's been stuck with spreadsheets and guesswork.
About the role
Every backtest is only as good as the data underneath it. You'll own our market-data pipeline — ingesting tick and order-book history from providers like DataBento and EODHD, and turning it into the clean, columnar datasets the engine replays.
What you'll do
- Own the ingestion pipeline for tick, order-book (MBO), and OHLC data.
- Build and maintain reliable, well-tested ETL into columnar (Parquet) storage.
- Guard data quality — gaps, adjustments, symbology, corporate actions.
- Scale storage and access patterns as instrument coverage grows.
- Partner with the engine team on the formats and guarantees they rely on.
What we're looking for
- 4+ years in data engineering with production ETL / pipeline experience.
- Strong Python and columnar data tooling (Polars, PyArrow, Parquet).
- Care for data correctness and observability.
- Comfort with cloud storage and large datasets.
Bonus points
- Experience with financial or market data (ticks, order books, adjustments).
- Familiarity with DataBento, EODHD, or similar providers.
- Streaming / real-time ingestion experience.
