How your attempts pass and fail
Almost every failure ends on the floor, so the floor says little. What tells you something is how each attempt got there.
Never within $500 of the floor. The middle half pass between day 19 and day 38.
Came within $500 of failing, then passed. The same trades in another order fail: luck to be glad of, not to plan on.
Up at least $1,000 first, $1,682 at the median. The trailing floor rose behind the lead, then a slide met it.
Never up $1,000. Over by day 18 at the median, before the floor had moved far. A smaller first week saves most of these.
8% are still going at day 60: not failed, just slow, at $49 a month.
Attempt 7 got within $736 of passing, then gave it back
Up $2,264 by day 15, it pulled the trailing floor up to $50,000 behind it. 21 days followed with no loss worse than $547, and that was enough. 8 attempts in 100 fail like this.
Size is the lever
The same trades at other sizes. Too small and the clock runs out; too big and the floor arrives first. The cheapest funded account is the size between.
What moves your odds
Each change on its own, everything else as you typed it, against the same simulated days.
Pass odds at 2 MNQ on the Topstep 50K Combine. One more trade a day passes 5 days sooner.
The same trading on every account
34 50K evaluation accounts, ranked for your numbers at 2 MNQ. Rules from each firm’s own page.
Each attempt draws trades from your numbers in a new order, with real spread around your averages. Same numbers, same answer.

Hypothetical results have inherent limitations: they are simulated, not traded, and past results do not guarantee future ones.
Questions
How are the pass odds calculated?
Each attempt draws up to 60 trading days from your numbers: a day is your trades for that day, its result and its best open profit. The days are played through the account's own rules, the trailing drawdown and where it stops, the daily loss limit, the consistency rule and the minimum days, the way AlgoLift's prop simulator plays them. Ten thousand attempts on your account, and fewer on each other account of the same size: 128 evaluation accounts from 11 firms in all.
What counts as a close call or a lead?
A pass is a close call when the balance came within a quarter of the drawdown of the floor at some close (within $500 of a $2,000 drawdown). A failure came after a lead when the attempt had first made a third of the profit target ($1,000 of $3,000).
How is the cost to get funded estimated?
The evaluation fee, billed once for each month the median pass takes on a monthly plan; the failed attempts your pass rate implies, each at the firm's reset fee or at the price again where no reset is sold; and the activation fee. Data fees, add-ons and payout fees are not included.
Why use my real trades instead of averages?
Averages have no losing streaks. An uploaded export is read in your browser, grouped into trading days, and drawn in blocks of five consecutive days, so a bad week stays a bad week and your best day stays one day for the consistency rule.
Is this a forecast?
No. It is a simulation of hypothetical results from the numbers you enter. Hypothetical results have inherent limitations: they are not traded, and the market you trade next will differ from the one your numbers came from.
Rules checked against the firms’ own pages, most recently on 21 October 2026. This is a summary of each firm’s published rules, not financial advice and not a recommendation of any firm. Firms change their rules and prices; read the firm’s own page before you buy. Facts are paraphrased and linked to their source. Firm names are used only to say which firm a rule belongs to; they belong to their owners, and AlgoLift is not affiliated with or endorsed by any firm.
