Each plan’s evaluation limits, from AlgoLift’s prop firm rules, checked against the firms’ own pages, most recently on 21 October 2026. Micros count at the firms' rate of 10 to a mini. Amber marks a stop that uses 40% or more of a limit. Which contracts a firm allows is on its page; how its floor follows your days is in the trailing drawdown calculator. Gross, before commissions and fees; not financial advice.
Every contract’s tick value

What is the MES tick value?
MES, the Micro E-mini S&P 500, moves in ticks of 0.25 index points worth $1.25 each, so one point is $5 a contract. Ten MES equal one ES.
What is the ES tick value?
ES, the E-mini S&P 500, moves in ticks of 0.25 index points worth $12.50 each, so one point is $50 a contract. One ES equals ten MES.

How do I calculate profit on a futures trade?
Multiply the move in ticks by the tick value and by the number of contracts. On MNQ, 25 points is 100 ticks, and 100 ticks × $0.50 × 4 contracts is $200. That is gross, before commissions and fees.
How do I size a futures position?
Divide what you will risk on the trade by the stop in dollars for one contract, and round down. A 25-point stop on MNQ is $50 a contract, so $400 of risk is 8 contracts; a ninth contract would make it $450.
How do I size a position for a prop account?
Size it as usual, then check two things: the plan's contract limit, counted in micros when you trade micros, and how much of the drawdown and the daily loss limit one full stop uses. On Apex EOD 50K, 8 MNQ is 13% of the 60-micro limit, and one stop is 40% of the $1,000 daily loss limit.
What is the difference between a tick and a point?
A tick is the smallest step a contract's price can move; a point is a move of 1.00 in price. ES moves in ticks of 0.25, so a point is four ticks: $12.50 a tick and $50 a point on one contract.
