How each firm counts it

The share differs, and so does what it is measured against: the target, all your profit, or the profit since your last payout.

Topstep55%

Trading Combine and Topstep Labs: the best day at most 55% of the evaluation profit; going over raises the target.

On the Topstep 50K Combine's $3,000 target, the largest day allowed is $1,650; a bigger day raises the target to that day divided by 0.55.

How it is measured, as recorded: The best single day's profit divided by total profit must stay at or below 55%; the rule's sentence compares the best day with the profit target, while the article's formula uses total profit.

Apex50%

How it is measured, as recorded: The largest profitable day must be under 50% of net profit since the last approved payout (or since the start); losing days lower the net, and no profit means no payout.

Questions

What is a prop firm consistency rule?

A cap on how much of your profit one day may make, from 20% to 55% across the 11 firms here, so a single big day cannot pass an evaluation or fund a payout on its own. Some firms check it in the evaluation, some only at payouts.

How is the consistency rule calculated?

Divide your best day by your total profit. If the share is over the firm's limit, the profit you need is your best day divided by the limit: at Topstep, $2,000 divided by 0.55 is $3,637, against a $3,000 target. Your other winning days set how long that takes.

What is Topstep's consistency rule?

Trading Combine and Topstep Labs: the best day at most 55% of the evaluation profit; going over raises the target. On the Topstep 50K Combine's $3,000 target, the largest day allowed is $1,650; a bigger day raises the target to that day divided by 0.55.

Does Apex have a consistency rule?

Not in the evaluation. At payouts: the largest profitable day must be under 50% of net profit since the last approved payout (or since the start); losing days lower the net, and no profit means no payout.

What is Tradeify's consistency rule?

Growth: no rule in the evaluation; at payouts, the best day at most 35% of the profit counted for the payout. Select Flex, Select Daily and Select: the best day at most 40% of the evaluation profit; going over raises the target. Lightning: no evaluation; at payouts, by payout: 20% at the first, 25% at the second, 30% from the third on. Select 50% consistency: the best day at most 50% of the evaluation profit; going over raises the target. On the Tradeify Select Flex 50K's $3,000 target, the largest day allowed is $1,200; a bigger day raises the target to that day divided by 0.40.

What is Lucid Trading's consistency rule?

LucidPro: no rule in the evaluation; at payouts, the best day at most 40% of the profit counted for the payout. LucidFlex and LucidDaily: the best day at most 50% of the evaluation profit; going over holds the pass until the share is back within it. LucidDirect: no evaluation; at payouts, the best day at most 20% of the profit counted for the payout. What happens if I break the consistency rule?

Nothing fails at any of the 20 evaluations here with a rule: the target rises (16 of them) or the pass waits (4) until your other days catch up. A payout request waits the same way.

Four days answer one rule. Your strategy’s history answers all of them.

The share is one rule; the floor is the one that ends an account. Play the same days against each account’s trailing drawdown.
