Prohibited strategies · Every Take Profit Trader account

Trading practices the firm forbids (for example exploiting data delays, coordinated trading, or holding to avoid the rules), as it lists them.

Bots and algorithmic execution; counter positions across one's own accounts; coordinated or synchronized trading with other users, third-party account management, pass or payout services; and simulation-only play such as max-size bursts at predictable moments (the open, news) or exploiting simulated fills.

Identity check · Every Take Profit Trader account

When the firm checks the trader's identity: before purchase, before funding, or before the first payout.

Identity verification (KYC) is required of every new registrant before buying a first Test; a signed tax form is required before the first withdrawal.

Breaking a rule · Every Take Profit Trader account

What the firm does when a rule is broken (a soft breach that pauses the day, a hard breach that closes the account, profits withheld), as it states it.

Breaking a Test rule fails the account (a paid reset restarts it); touching the drawdown liquidates at once; counter positions liquidate the accounts and forfeit their profit; policy breaches can bring profit forfeiture, reset, closure or a ban.

Firm's discretion · Every Take Profit Trader account

Decisions the firm reserves to itself (reviews before a payout or a live move, closing accounts it judges to break the spirit of the rules).

PRO+ promotion is solely TPT's call after a holistic review; TPT may part ways without notice with traders whose trading looks simulation-only or reckless, may place traders in PRO+ Development, and may end site access for any reason.

03How AlgoLift simulates it

Simulating the Take Profit Trader 25K Test

AlgoLift's prop simulator runs a strategy's trades through this plan's rules: 55 of its recorded rules exactly as stated, 9 as an approximation. The rules listed as not modelled change an account's outcome but are not simulated yet, so a simulated pass rate leaves them out.

How the prop simulator works

Approximated

  • Evaluation steps: The simulator runs one evaluation phase, or none on an instant-funding plan; a second step is not simulated.
  • Hitting the daily loss limit: The simulator stops trading for the day at the limit and keeps the account open; a limit that fails the account is not simulated.
  • Floor checked against open profit: The simulator checks the floor against each trade's worst excursion inside the trade.
  • Going over the consistency share: The simulator caps the day at the share of the target and stops trading for the day, which reads the same as a pass that waits.
  • Floor checked against open profit: The simulator checks the floor against each trade's worst excursion inside the trade.
  • Payout schedule: The simulator applies the calendar days between payouts; processing days are not simulated.
  • Profit in every payout cycle: Holds whenever the profit counted from the last payout must be positive (payouts.min_profit since the last payout).
  • Trading hours: The backtest's session window applies the hours before the simulation; the simulation itself does not read them (retired 2026-08-15).
  • Flat by: The simulator reads a trading-hours end as the time trading stops.

Not modelled yet

  • Funded account resets: 3
  • Buffer paid when the account closes: 50%
  • Payout fees: $50 on wallet withdrawals of $250 or less.
  • Funded account reset fee: $449
  • Commissions: Test and PRO: $4.50 per round trip per mini and $1.50 per round trip per micro, set by TPT; PRO+ pays the broker's rates.
  • News trading: Allowed
  • News trading: Restricted around releases
  • News trading: Restricted around releases
  • News rule: Flat with no open orders from 1 minute before to 1 minute after FOMC statements (Wednesdays 2:00 PM ET), Non-Farm Payroll (8:30 AM ET) and CPI; Fed speakers and FOMC minutes are allowed.
  • News rule: Flat with no open orders from 1 minute before to 1 minute after FOMC statements (Wednesdays 2:00 PM ET), Non-Farm Payroll (8:30 AM ET) and CPI; Fed speakers and FOMC minutes are allowed.
  • Holding overnight: Not allowed
  • Holding over the weekend: Not allowed
  • Executions a day: 50
  • Price limits: Exit all open positions before a price limit is reached; if a price limit is hit while you still hold a position, you lose your PRO Account.
  • Price limits: Exit all positions before a CME daily price limit (limit up or down) is reached; a position still open when the limit is hit loses the account.

What the simulation leaves out

  • Going over the consistency share raises this firm's target; the simulation caps that day's profit at the share and stops trading for the day instead.
  • Funded account resets are not simulated: a failed funded account starts a new evaluation.
  • Profit paid from the buffer when the account closes is not simulated.
  • Payout fees are not deducted: the simulation assumes a fee-free payout method, which every firm offers.
  • The firm's commissions are not added: the run's own commission setting applies.
  • News rules are not simulated: a trade held through a restricted release is not caught.
  • The firm's trading hours and flat-by time are applied by the backtest's session window, not by this simulation: a run that held past them is flagged, never re-priced.
  • The daily execution limit is not simulated.
  • Price-limit rules are not simulated.
  • Inactivity rules are not simulated: a strategy that sits out keeps its account here.

Notes on this plan’s simulation

  • The PRO has no minimum withdrawal above the buffer; the sim waits for $250 above it, standing in for the $50 fee on wallet withdrawals of $250 or less, which it does not charge.
  • Consistency is strictly-below-50% in reality; the sim caps at ≤50% (≤$0.01 difference).
  • PRO+ (live) is out of scope.
